Dad happy fathers day yesterday! I was thinking about ya, sounds like you are having fun doing some fishing, barbeques and then you guys are heading to run the river again soon. Hope the day went well for you.

This week was an awesome week, we had a conference with about half of the mission in Mar Del Plata this week so we had to do some middle of the night traveling. It went well though there were some good lessons and testimonies given. It was the day of my one year mark June 14, and also my companions birthday so it was a pretty big day. Early in the morning before it all starts they always have a meeting with all of the leaders, to tell president whats going on in all of our areas. They were all pretty impressed about what was going on in Ayacucho because it´s kind of known as a tuff outcast area and we have so much going for us right now. But the city is treating us really well and we are having success.

Church on Sunday was a little different than we are used to back home in good old Utah but it went well and the spirit was so strong during sacrament wow it was awesome, almost all ten people were crying. But there were eight members that assisted and then we had three investigadors there but it went really well.

One of the talks talked about how the members need to give the missionaries lunches, because we have never received one. We have to do our own laundry too.

But we have a lunch planned on Tuesday so we are pretty excited for that. My companion and I taught primary on Sunday too, wow you have got to have a lot of patience with them.

We don´t have three hours of church either on Sunday, first we have the Sunday school with everyone together and the kids in the primary, then we all get together for sacrament to end it.

We have one baptism set up for this Saturday, it´s this kid named Santiago. He is a little stud, he asked me to do the confirmation so next Sunday I will be taking part in that. Also his older brother said that he wants me to baptize him, he is known as the rebel in the family. So we will work with him and get a date for his baptism. Then we have so many more people that are listening to us right now. This week we found nine new people that we are teaching added onto the others that we were teaching before. Also there are three more people that are ready for baptism but that need to get things settled with divorces and stuff. That usually takes about six months to a year.

We taught one lady this week named Maria Angelica, we taught here about the restoration and I felt it was the best lesson that my comp and I have taught together. She started the lesson drinking mate. (the famous drink that everybody drinks all day long!) Soon after we began she pushed it aside and was listening intently. She participated well and understood it, we got to a point where we asked her if she had any questions about anything and her mouth just plopped open and said I’m speachless. I mean I don’t even know what to say, I have always listened to people coming around preaching their religions but I have never heard one like this, I can tell tell that it comes straight from your hearts, and at that time the spirit was testifying so strong it was an awesome experience.

Yeah I un knowingly drank tea the other day. We were with some investigators and we always drink this kind of tea that has different flavors like apple then you put your sugar and make it how you like it, and its alright to drink it.

IT tasted the same to me, but yeah we even asked twice to double check. Don’t worry I don´t have an addiction.

Well Im heading into the second half of my mission and everyone says that it goes even faster so I better not blink or it will be over. It’s going to be a fun year though I’m excited.

I am going to send some pictures though. Thanks for everything

Love Elder Lott
