Mis hermosa hermanas que me escribieron! Gracias!
So this week went pretty well we had some big ups and some big downs this week. It was kind of a shortened week becaus of a lot of traveling due to conference and other things.
This week we had the opportunity to do quite a bit of different servic for people. Really there is nothing better than to see people happy. We had this lesson all planned out at the church it was going to be with our president and then the family Medina. So we left to go and pick them up and we were all pumped up and you can just imagine it, us walking up to their house singing hymns and all. So we get there and they invite us in and everyone is sitting there around the table and you can feel that it is a little negative inside the house. The mom begins crying and telling us that the dad had hit her, broke a few things and then left her there with all of the kids and no money. It wasn´t exactly what we were expecting. I didn´t know what to say! So I just starting bearing my testimony of Jesus Christ and how he is the only one that can help you in moments like this becuase he has felt your actual pain. We left them with a prayer and the house seemed a little more positive when we left. But wow what a tough trial that would be I couldn´t imagine it. So then we left and were walking back to the church and earlier in the day it had been raining and there were big puddles where the roads meet. There was a car coming behind me and I wasn´t noticing it at the time but it stopped right in the middle of the road and I was on the side and I went to go jump over this big puddle and the car just floors it and totally gets me bad! But what I have seen and learned on the mission is that after a day where things aren´t going very good there is ALWAYS something good that comes. So we go with the president and buy about a hundred pesos of food and take it to this family in our area that was in need. We give the mom a blessing and it was fun to be with them. Then we teach this kid named Emanual and we are teaching him about baptisms and we ask him to think of a time in his life when he had felt really good. He says that when we sing the hymns in church he reads and sings along and tears always comes to his eyes and he feels good but doesn´t know why it happens, he says it just seems familiar and can´t explain it! This kid is nine years old and a complete stud! So we put a baptism date for him and he´s really excited about it so we are happy for him. The mission is fun, so many different things happen.
Sunday went well, our members are amazing. I got to teach the class again and then after we had to stay for a long time doing tithing and other things. So we ran back to the house packed up cooked up two eggs and then had to run to the bus station because my companion plays the piano for the district choir.
This week had been pretty rainy, so that made it really humid so we have just been leaving with short sleeve shirt. I think the summer is going to be here before we know it here.
Well I have got to get going, I´m sorry my first letter got erased but I love you guys thanks for your examples and for your help.
Love Elder Lott
